JUDE COWAN MONTAGUE & ILIA ROGATCHEVSKI // live

Unique collaborative sound piece titled ‘Number Stations’.

Number Stations are secret shortwave radio stations that intermittently broadcast coded messages to alleged intelligence agents working in foreign countries. For this collaboration, Ilia Rogatchevski sampled various transmissions onto audio cassettes and played them back using chance operations. Jude Cowan Montague responded to these sounds with her viol which was both bowed and played with objects.

With their dark, provocative and captivating style of techno, Ossa di Mare marks a collaboration between two experimental artists who focus in producing effortless and ethereal techno. Following their first collaboration in London in 2014, the duo have since refined and built their sound into a tangible level of mastery that immerses the listener while altering perception of time, allowing one to linger in every subtle nuance and detail.

Free improvised soundscape performance which forges a link between the sonic and the physical environment by way of the body. Setup involves drum kit, guitar and a bass amplifier, vocals run through PA and often 10+ radios.

Jose Macabra is an inimitable Live artist specialised in Teknoise and Electronic Ritual. His work performed in art establishment venues including The Barbican, Tate Modern , BFI and The Photographer’s Gallery. Works involving Jose’s sound design have toured major festivals in Madrid, Berlin, Athens, Brussels, Milan, Barcelona and other cultural centres.

The work in general from Dr. Nexus could be categorized between industrial, noise and experimental music. His live performance in- or excludes – depending on the situation – DIY synthesizer, sampling, solar sound modules, modified effect feedback loops, radio feedbacks and other electronic devices as well as voice improvisation.

Improvising duo of Bobby Barry and Emily Mary Barnett, using drums, percussion, electrical crackle, mains hum, thunderstorms, plastic bags, electric toothbrushes, and a small portable vacuum cleaner.

Utilising field recordings, instruction manual texts, loops, synths, various instruments, beats, curcuit bent toys, phone apps and her voice, Nnja Riot deconstructs musical norms and releases them back into the wild glistening with new light and perspective.
