LUXUL // live

POT_5200

Performances are all improvised and created from scratch using an electric viola, various pedals and her own voice. The instrument itself is not only traditionally played but also beaten, scratched and otherwise abused to achieve the range of sounds needed for this project.  Each piece is slightly different and it can depend on the mood/feel of the event but overall they all come across extremely powerful and abrasive. Subconsciously she is trying to create rituals that will mark the audience and make them feel like they witnessed something truly special.

Broken narratives. Shifting between states of becoming; resting in moments of transience: an interrupted bird songs… windless dancer, upon an unformed tongue. A ritual of ablution; craven beings… hollow caricatures… A world we sought to master. Is the limit to your vision, as far as you can see?
